Water Wise Tours

Join us to discover and discuss how to use water more efficiently and improve our local waterways. We will look at and discuss new solutions that have helped to improve our local waterways, visit a local resident’s rainwater collection/reuse schemeĀ and learn from another local resident how other Sydney communities are involved in managing water in their local area. There are two tours being run in November.

The date of the firstĀ tour is Saturday 7 November and starts in Ashbury. This tour will include a visit to a stormwater harvesting project at Pratten Park in Ashfield and the Hill Street Rain Gardens which filter stormwater from Hill Street in Marrickville.

The second tour is on Sunday 22 November and starts in Kingsgrove. This tour will include a visit to a local resident’s rainwater collection and reuse scheme as well as a visit to the Hill Street Rain Gardens.

This is a free event. Lunch and transport will be provided.
